1. Welcome and Introductions
Ameil opened the meeting by acknowledging that McMaster University sits on the traditional territories of the Mississauga and Haudenosaunee Nations, and within the lands protected by the Dish with One Spoon wampum agreement(ref: IEC May 2016). Participants were then invited to introduce themselves and their affiliation with the University.
2. Adoption of Minutes
The Minutes of March 5, 2019 were approved, as previously circulated.
3, Presentation: Office of Community Engagement (OCE)
Presenters: Sheila Sammon, Jeff Wingard, Dave Heidebrecht, Celeste Licorish, Sashaina Singh
The OCE team introduced themselves to PACBIC members and gave an overview of what they do, why they exist and their goals. The presentation will be shared by email with the Committee. Some highlights:

Following the presentation, there was a discussion regarding the importance of relationship building with various groups on and off the McMaster campus.
4. PACBIC Members & Working Groups – Updates & Reports
Planning & Priorities Working Group. Ameil indicated that Patrick Deane, President, will attend PACBIC on May 7, 2019 from 1:30-2:30pm.
Interfaith Working Group. Vilma stated that the Interfaith Working Group will subsidize up to 10 people to attend the Convergence Conference on Thursday May 2, 2019 at the University of Toronto. These subsidies are also supported by the Dean of Students.
