Employment Equity

PACBIC established an Employment Equity Working Group to explore options for advancing Employment Equity at McMaster. Its mandate is to make use of employment equity data to track progress toward inclusion of faculty and staff over time; in particular, First Nations, Métis and Inuit employees (staff and faculty).  It was also asked to provide support to managers for inclusive recruitment, selection, and retention of diverse employees prioritizing outreach to prospective First Nations, Métis and Inuit staff members. It released a major report into the state of employment equity at McMaster University in 2013 entitled, Building a Culture of Employment Diversity at McMaster University.
